Regularly inspect your home for any ill effects created by the frigid weather. If not detected early enough, leaking sillcocks can potentially flood your basement. You can inspect them by turning on and back off. Normally any leaks will show up after the first use. However, they should be checked after each use for the first few times.
It is important to also check that your sump pump is operating properly. As the ground thaws and rain falls, this exponentially increases the ground saturation levels. Therefore, more water will need to be pumped out. A battery back up system adds an extra sense of security for your home.
Radiant heating systems supply heat to floors, walls or ceilings of homes. These systems can save you money, plus be engineered in various ways, for instance, to eliminate allergy-inducing forced air.
