In February of 1974 Paul L. and his son Paul F. started Paul L. Buddy Plumbing and Heating and moved their shop to 1041 Oliver Avenue in Aurora. In June of 1976 Paul L. passed away and his son Paul F. took over the operations management and responsibilities. Paul continued to do service and industrial work but was also beginning to work on schools and government projects.

    In 1977 Paul moved the business down the street to our current location, 195 West Ashland. Also, to separate our commercial work with our service work, Paul created what would be known as the commercial sector of Cannonball Mechanical. Recently we have made the transition to make Cannonball Mechanical our primary name and Paul L. Buddy the secondary.

    Paul L. Buddy and Tom Zakosek began Buddy & Zakosek in 1953 in the building located at 1020 Mason Avenue.  Paul and Tom employed between four and thirty people at a time.  Work started off as service and repair in new residential housing but as popularity grew so did business and they began doing work in tract housing and heavy commercial and industrial.
